Bathroom is one of the important room of every home, as it is used by all the family members as well as visitor of the house. Hence bath room mats or bath rugs plays an important role as a bathroom accessory, which helps in maintain an attractive, secure and comfortable bathroom.

So we need to keep in mind some important tips while choosing right type of Bath mats or bath rugs for bathroom. To begin with one should keep in mind size of bathmats should be proportionate to the space available in bathroom. Here by proportionate space, I mean bath rugs size should not run against or under the sink or bath tub. It this will be the case then water will spoil the bath rug as both bath tub as well as sink sometimes overflows. So proportionately large bathmat not only allows us to cover maximum available space without being wet, but also provides us warm, non-slippery cover area for walking in bathroom. Now days a lot of options bath mats sets are available in rectangular, oval or even molded shape, so it could fit around in the bathroom as required.

Further, Shag is an important feature of every bath mat or bath rugs, like other features which are shape, size and even weave. Mostly bathmats shapes are quite similar, but one of the prominent difference between bath mats and carpets is that bath mat has less dense compare to carpet. Apart from style of bath mats have both large and small uncut loops in it.

If the bathroom the house used by large number of people then ‘Shag ‘part of bathmat plays an important role. So, in this case one should have a bathmat with appropriate shag with it. If the bathroom frequently or lot of people use same bathroom then obviously there will be more dirt in it. In this one should select a bathmat keeping in mind durability; moreover its weaving should be dense with uncut loop in it.But in case one is looking for some rugs or bats for other room like living room or guest room then one case choose a costly, stylish; cut style rugs or carpets as these room as used less comparatively. Further, decorative rugs are not a good choice for the bathroom, because it is hard to maintain in this case. One could also have smart economical bath rugs with right type of edging or shag extended to the edge or even with an edge covered with dense stitches to prevent fraying.

Now comes the colour part of bathmat rugs, so before choose the colour one should keep in mind season and weather conditions of respective region. Like in summer one can keep light and cool blue or bright red, in springs one can pick pastel colours or in case of winter’s dark and natural colour are more useful. But whatever will be season one should keep in mind how frequently respective bathroom will be used or number of footfalls which a bath rug will encounter during its placement. Please keep in mind light colour easily highlight dirt more than dark one in case of bathmats too.

Another important fact one should consider that bathmat should not be slippery. So bathmat should have either rubber cushion or its base should be at least bottom side lined with anti skid material. This will protect the user from wet and slippery place in bathroom especially if bathroom are used more by kids or elders. Many times it happened that we choose a particular style or shape of rugs or mat but it aren`t lined. However in this case one case purchase a rubber mat to keep in under the selected mat or cut the rubber mat in required size or shape to place it properly.

Lastly but importantly one should check maintenance and washing instruction give on the label of the bathmat. It not only helps us in maintaining bath rugs durability but also saves our money time moreover and precious energy too.

In nutshell before buying perfect bath mat for the bathroom one should consider the size of the bathroom, number of people who use it. Not only keep in mind colour and design that complements the room, but also one that complements the people too.
